who is compassion network
Compassion Network is a faith-based, non-profit volunteer network specifically serving low-income residents in Fremont, Union City and Newark with various needs. Volunteers are recruited through our Tri-City network of over 70 participating CityServe congregations.
“Our desire is that people serve in their strengths and are able to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the CN clients. At the heart of this ministry is “giving a cup of cold water in the name of Jesus.”
Cedars Church is collecting size 3 diapers every 2nd Sundays of the month.
We also collect other gently used baby items such as baby wipes, other diaper sizes, clothes, toys, formula, strollers and other baby items.
Joyful Bounty and Hearty Harvest is the annual Easter & Thanksgiving grocery bag distribution.
How You Can Make A Difference
Donate – Each family will be receiving a bag of groceries with everything they need for a Easter or Thanksgiving meal and a $50 Grocery Store Gift Card. We need donors to purchase groceries and gift cards.
Volunteer – When families come to receive their Easter or Thanksgiving meal, we will be providing an opportunity for conversation and prayer. We need volunteers to serve in different capacities to make this event a success.
